Podravka proud to be the only company representing Croatia at Iran Food and Hospitality Fair 2017
The Iran Food and Hospitality Fair 2017 was the 24th international exhibition for the food, beverages and service industry. A showcase of what’s hot and what’s not in the world of professional food traders, 40,000 people from across the world attended, with Podravka proudly putting Croatia on the map. 619 exhibitors from 24 countries presented thousands of product innovations – from Thailand to Brazil. Podravka was proud to be the only company representing Croatia.
The stand was inaugurated by Mr. Stribor Kikerec, Croatian Ambassador and Mr. Ivor Čondić, Commercial Attaché, giving everyone an opportunity to taste new flavours and sample innovation from the heart of Croatia.
As the only Croatian exhibitor, Podravka proudly presented a range of favourite products, including Vegeta All-Purpose Seasoning, Lino baby food and cereals and other Podravka products. Attendees were given an opportunity to take home a Vegeta sample along with a recipe leaflet to put the sample into action.
Speaking from the event, Podravka Managing Director Mr. Nermin Salman said, “The Iran Food Fair is such an important event for us. Podravka has identified Iran as a key market for penetration, especially suited to family favourites like Vegeta culinary assortment and Lino baby food. It’s been interesting to meet the future partners we’ve previously been in talks with and learn more about the specifics of the Iranian market. This is about our approach to who we do business with – carefully selected partners who are aligned with us in terms of local production, distribution and marketing. We’ll now be concentrating on our comprehensive approach to the registration of products for smooth import, followed by determining which partners to go ahead with.“
With a heritage stretching way back to 1934 and a presence in 60 countries around the world, Podravka offers 130 halal-certified products to the Middle East market. After just over two years in the region Podravka has seen consistent growth, doubling sales results.
