Podravka's new breakthrough in Qatar
Podravka has gained a strong partner, which will enable entry into all points of sale in Qatar as well as long-term business development in one of the key markets of the MENA region.
As part of the visit to Qatar by the Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Luka Burilović, and a delegation of Croatian entrepreneurs, Podravka signed a distribution contract with renowned Qatar distributor Arabian Supplies, a branch office of one of the strongest Qatar groups, Tadmur Holding.
Hany Al Sayed, General Manager of Arabian Supplies and Nermin Salman, CEO of Podravka Gulf FZE signed the contract.
Podravka has been strengthening its business presence in nine countries across the region, including Qatar, for the past two years, supported by the opening of a regional branch office in Jebel Ali Free Zone, UAE. By translating all its product communication into Arabic, developing new products for the market, and successfully implementing Halal certification across its range, Podravka has adapted to the specifics of the markets and the needs of consumers.
“Apart from Qatar, long-term projects have been established with local partners in Oman and Kuwait this year, and we are also close to setting up processing systems in Egypt, Bahrain, Iraq and Lebanon. Initial results show consumer preference for Vegeta seasonings and soups, Kviki snacks, Lino cream spreads, Lino Pillows, and Podravka Ajvar. And with a large community of Croatian consumers in Qatar, we expect to continue expanding our product range and strengthening our position as the biggest Croatian food company in the region,” said Nermin Salman, CEO of Podravka Gulf FZE.
