The strong Mediterranean flavours of capers and olives meet tuna and chilli in this powerful pasta dish that will warm you down to your toes.
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and soften the onion. Add the crushed garlic, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, Vegeta, chilli powder, strained and rinsed capers and sliced olives.
- Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, then roughly chop and add the tuna.
- Add salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with parsley, and serve over the cooked pasta.
Chef's tip: If you prefer the flavour a little more piquant, add chopped fresh chillies to the sauce.
