Warm ajvar sandwiches

Warm ajvar sandwiches


  • 8 slices square bread
  • 100 g Podravka Mild Ajvar
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 40 g butter, for the bread


  1. In a bowl, mix Podravka Mild Ajvar with the oil.
  2. Spread a thin layer of butter and the Ajvar mixture on each slice of bread. Place cheese slices on four bread slices, and cover with your remaining four bread slices.
  3. Heat a very small amount of oil in a frying pan (non-stick recommend), gently heat oil and add sandwiches. Fry lightly about 2–3 minutes on each side, and serve warm.
  4. Before serving, you can cut each sandwich in half diagonally to make triangles. Sprinkle with parsley, to serve.

Chef's tip: You can replace the toast with rolls, and bake briefly in a sandwich toaster or in the oven.
