Salmon steaks with orange slices

Orange slices, caraway seeds, and lime juice make these glazed salmon steaks a perfectly elegant meal for a dinner party.

Salmon steaks with orange slices


  • 4 salmon steaks (approx. 250 g each)
  • 1 lime
  • ½ tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vegeta Twist Fish Seasoning
  • 1 orange
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil


  1. Arrange the salmon steaks in a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the salmon, dust with the brown sugar and Vegeta Twist, and allow the salmon steaks to marinate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Wash and scrub one whole orange, slice it into rings and arrange the orange slices on top of the salmon.
  3. Sprinkle with the caraway seeds and salt. Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil on top and bake at 200°C for about 25 minutes.
  4. Serve with roasted potatoes.

Chef's tip: You can use a brush to glaze the salmon steaks with honey instead of brown sugar if you prefer the flavour.
