Crispy hake with yogurt sauce

Serve hake with Ajvar, a creamy cucumber salad and simply roasted potatoes for a delicious and light meal enjoyed by everyone.

Crispy hake with yogurt sauce


  • 600 g hake fillets
  • 1 tbsp Vegeta All-Purpose Seasoning
  • lemon juice
  • rough wheat flour
  • 100 g Podravka Mild Ajvar
  • 400 g new potatoes
  • cucumber salad
  • dill


  1. Sprinkle hake fillets with Vegeta and lemon juice and let stand about 15 minutes. Dredge one side of each fillet in flour, and place the floured side down in hot olive oil. When fish is golden on one side, turn it over and briefly fry on other side.
  2. Slice potatoes and fry in a pan or bake in the oven. Add salt to taste.
  3. Serve fish with potatoes, Podravka Mild Ajvar, and a cucumber salad.

Chef's tip: You can add dill to the cucumber salad, and a splash of sour cream just before serving.
