Spicy spaghetti

When you make a dish with spaghetti it can be an interesting lunch, with shrimp and beef bacon the perfect additions to Podravka Hot Ajvar.

Spicy spaghetti


  • 300 g spaghetti
  • 300 g shrimp
  • 50 g beef bacon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 150 ml tomato puree
  • 20 g ground almonds
  • ½ tsp ground paprika
  • olive oil
  • 2 tsp Podravka Hot Ajvar
  • salt


  1. Fry finely chopped beef bacon in heated olive oil. Add crushed garlic and stir. Add ground paprika and pureed tomatoes, and sauté briefly.
  2. Add shrimp, Podravka Hot Ajvar and salt, and cook a few more minutes.
  3. Cook spaghetti in slightly salted water, drain, add to prepared sauce and mix gently.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped almonds and serve.

Chef's tip: Save a bit of the water the pasta is cooked in to add to the dish if necessary.
