Tasty baked beans

A juicy dish filled with spicy ingredients made complete with Podravka Hot Ajvar to serve as a meal on its own or as a side dish for sausages or roasted meat.

Tasty baked beans


  • 1 can white beans (drained mass approx. 400 g)
  • 250 g onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 50 ml oil
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • several mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp parsley leaves
  • 1 fresh red pepper
  • 1 fresh yellow pepper
  • 100 ml tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp Podravka Hot Ajvar


  1. Fry chopped onions in hot oil, add sliced peppers, crushed garlic, mix and sauté briefly until vegetables are soft. Add ground paprika, pureed tomatoes, beans and Podravka Hot Ajvar.
  2. Mix, adding in just enough water to just cover contents, and cook briefly.
  3. Transfer beans to a baking dish, sprinkle with mint and bake about 15 minutes at 200°C.
  4. Sprinkle baked beans with chopped parsley and serve on their own, or as a side dish to sausages or roasted meat.

Chef's tip: You can prepare beans the day before and just bake it before serving
