Cod with egg salad

Fried cod is always a welcome addition to any table, so enjoy the simplicity of this fine dish, served with a rich salad featuring boiled eggs and Podravka Ajvar.

Cod with egg salad


  • 800 g cod fillets
  • 1 tsp Vegeta All-Purpose Seasoning
  • olive oil
  • several capers
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 bunch spring onions
  • 100 g Podravka Cornichons
  • 70 g walnuts
  • Podravka Ajvar for serving


  1. Sprinkle cod fillets with Vegeta, and fry in hot oil. Add several capers.
  2. Slice hardboiled eggs into quarters, add a little salt if desired, and add sliced pickles and spring onions. Sprinkle with olive oil and add coarsely chopped walnuts.
  3. Serve cod with egg salad and Podravka Ajvar (mild or hot, depending on your preference).

Chef's tip: Instead of capers, you can add black olives.
