Chicken breast with spinach

Chicken breast with spinach


  • 600 g chicken breast
  • salt
  • 1 large red onion
  • 1 tsp Podravka Mild Ajvar
  • 400 g fresh spinach
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp pine nuts


  1. Slice the onion into rounds and fry in heated oil until soft. Slice chicken breast into thin fillets or strips and add to onions in pan. Add a little salt. Add Ajvar, stir and cook briefly over low heat to bring chicken and Ajvar together.
  2. Briefly blanch spinach in boiling water and drain. Fry drained spinach in olive oil, add a little salt and the toasted pine nuts and stir.
  3. Serve chicken with spinach.

Chef's tip: Spinach prepared in this way can also be served as a standalone vegetarian dish. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add raisins or dried cranberries.
